Growing Up

Time really flies. It's incredible how fast my girls are growing up. Marisa's going to be 4 next month and the month after Danielle will be 1 year old. Where does the time go?

Yesterday, Marisa and I went grocery shopping. She's been saving up money in her little Dora purse. When she tries new food, she gets $1.00. She saved $20.77. So while grocery shopping, something I like to do with Marisa (it's our special thing), it's amazing how helpful she was. However, it made me sad when I was picking up some fish that was on sale for my mom as there were whole fish laying there and Marisa got really upset and said she didn't like that. What's going to happen when she realizes that the chicken and beef she eats are chicken and cows? Oh boy. How the young are so innocent! You should have seen the cashier when Marisa took the money out of her purse to buy her two little My Little Ponys. Marisa looked so grown up taking her change and carrying her grocery bag.

Then there is my Danielle. She is into everything and that includes eating everything under the sun. I love her curiosity, her assertiveness, her sweet smile and energy! She is waving and clapping now. She says mama, dada, baba and nana. She is walking 98% of the time now. Where'd my crawler go? I miss all the crawling since Marisa didn't do much of it.

Well, I just have to remember to cherish each and every moment and day with my beautiful girls. Before I know it, they'll be off to college/university!
