Danielle loves to speak and communicate. Her words are not clear of course, but it is easy to understand now. She still grunts and whines at times, but is farily excellent at communicating. And I must admit that she has become an excellent listener. When I know I'm going to have a problem then I get Marisa to help me and if Danielle has a tantrum, it's usually a 5-10 second cry/grunt/anger type. She doesn't usually cry except when she really gets hurt. She growls when she gets mad like Marisa.
How many words though? I don't really count. She says mama, dada, nana, cat, dog, she loves to growl like a tiger and always does when she sees one or you ask her what a tiger does. She can say so much I could go on. She loves to put her own Baby Einstein DVD's in and start it. She loves to eat but it is only on the run...or I have to put a Baby E on at the table. That doesn't bother me. She's Ms. Little Independance
Danielle has really become her own little person. She just wants to be respected and treated like her own person. It's so sweet.
