Today was Marisa and Danielle's birthday party at an indoor playground. There were a total of 11 kids.
It was so great seeing the girls playing wih their family & friends. Marisa with her best bud Emily - did I mention that these two are attached at the hip and drive us moms crazy wanting to see each other every day?!! Danielle with her yummy Cheesies that she was inhaling (haven't given them to her in quite awhile - guess she missed them just a bit). I loved how all the kids interacted and just had an absolute ball. Kids are amazing...how simple things are for them and how easily they make friends and just have fun. If we paid attention and took some time, we could really learn so much from kids.
I think Danielle did fairly well with her shyness/fear. It helped that Emily & her parents came over afterwards. My good friend also came for the party and for the night - Marisa says she's her friend.
We got this cool cupcake cake with Princesses on them. Of course they would have been just as happy with Dora or Diego. Thanks for the cake info Monica & Maya....we missed you so much at the party!!
It was great seeing some family and friends you don't get to see often. Funny how most of the attendees were our townhouse complex.
It worked out perfectly from beginning to end. Even despite the last minute guest calling the night before saying they were coming (which is really great but now we need to get two more loot bags in the morning). And let's not forget the person who now two years in a row says she'll come and doesn't call nor even acknowledge the event afterwards. I know who I won't be sending an invite to next year.
A great day indeed....busy and tiring, but nonetheless a success. Happy Birthday Party my Princesses.
